The City of Inowrocław

Inowrocław, the nominal capital of the Western Kujawy is one of the largest cities of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie province. Today, its administrative area covers 3,000 hectares, 300 of which consist of greeneries. The city is rich in tradition, has a well-developed infrastructure and a wealth of partnership possibilities. It provides favourable conditions for development, being an investor-friendly city, rewarded and distinguished in various competitions on the provincial and national levels.

“The Golden Top 100 of Pomerania and Kujawy” is the most prestigious ranking of the best companies in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie province, rewarding the most prominent businesses of the region. More than 100 companies representing different business lines take part, no matter if they are large and established companies or small, just-launched businesses. Entrepreneurs also vote for the best local government that – according to them – is efficiently, economically and properly managed, to the benefit of them. In 2014, Inowrocław was ranked 2nd, ahead of such rivals as Toruń or Osielsko, which confirmed that the city authorities are indeed supporting the business sectors well.

Inowrocław also holds the title of “Fair Play Municipality 2011" and has been distinguished among the tourist municipalities. This confirms that investors can safely bet on the city.

Inowrocław is a prize-winner in the “Responsible Local Government 2011" a project by the editors of Strefa Gospodarki, a supplement to the Dziennik Gazeta Prawna. The purpose of this project is to promote distinguished cities, communes and municipalities as places of interest to prospective investors.

Inowrocław is also regarded as an investor- and tourist-friendly municipality, and was given a “Friendly Municipality 2011” certificate by the editorial team of Forum Biznesu, a supplement to the Dziennik Gazeta Prawna.

The city was also ranked first and won the grand prix in the national competition “DesigNOWE Miasto 2011”, leaving such cities as Gdynia, Tarnów, Zamość or Kołobrzeg behind. Inowrocław won the prize in the category of cities with a population over 60,000. The jury, represented by its chair, Professor Sławomir Gzella, PhD Eng. of Architecture of the Faculty of Architecture at the Warsaw University of Technology and a member of the Association of Polish Architects (SARP), commented our project using kind words, underlining the great scale of the work done at the Solanki, and the professional spatial planning.
